Weddings are meant to be sincere, sacred occasions, and at the same time, they should be lighthearted. Beyond all else, weddings are a celebration - a celebration of the love that exists between the couple getting married. It can be one of the most beautiful and sacred occasions in a family's life. It is the task of the minister to create an environment in which the love that binds all of us can be acknowledged and celebrated.
     It is my goal to have a very real and felt spiritual presence at every wedding ceremony. I have learned to facilitate this in traditional wedding ceremonies, as well as in contemporary wedding ceremonies using less religious language.
